Friday starts with my aunt going to her palate class when she gets home and changes we make the hour drive to NYC. Traffic is good most the way and then it's just crazy. My aunt debates with herself on the corrrect exit to take and ends up making the correct choice. There is a little mixup with having printed out the wrong reservation page but it gets us the personal assistance from one of the employees & and escort right onto the boat we're to take. We are taking the Cirle Line Sightseeing Cruise. It goes all the way around Manhattan.
As we pull out of the slip I start s really seeing the tall buildings... And there are so many off them! And more of them . I honor Jazzy's request and take lots of pictures. The I get a big surprise! the ,Statue of Liberty is coming up on the right. I don't know why I though that it was further out, bu it was right there. We have to pass a couple other Islands and I think one was Elis (sp?) Island. I then got tons of photos of the Statue of Liberty. As we go on on we see the new Freedom Towers with its crane still on top.
There was so much too it all and a little overwhelming to a small town girl like me, but at the same time interesting and intreging.
